Cut the Rope is a fun puzzle game that will test your analytical skills to advance to the next level with the highest possible points. This is available for iOS and Android phones, as well as online. The goal of this game is to feed a cute green monster named “Om Nom” with his favorite; candy! The twist is, the candy is tied on one or more ropes. You need to cut each rope to free the candy and drop it into Om Nom’s mouth. There are three stars that you can hit on every level. The more stars you hit, the higher points you’ll get. Plus, collecting these stars will earn you some achievements. There are several Cut the Rope achievements that you can earn if you meet the specific requirements.
There are four boxes that you need to unleash throughout the game. These boxes determine the difficulty of the stage. Each box has 25 levels to complete. Each level has 3 stars for you to collect. The first box is the Cardboard box. Cut the rope by dragging the mouse arrow across the rope if playing online or by swiping your finger across the rope if using a smart phone. As the level increases, more obstacles will come your way like spiders and spikes. You have the option to replay each level if you’re not satisfied with your score.
You need to collect at least 30 stars to advance to the next stage of the game, which is the Fabric box. On this stage, air cushions are incorporated on the game. These can be used to blow the candy to where you want it to go. This can be done by tapping on them. You need to complete 80 stars on this stage to move on to the Foil box. Electric sparks are introduced on the game for this stage. Make sure to prevent the candy from touching them. Collect at least 190 stars to move on to the Gift box. In this stage, you can use a spinning wheel to adjust the rope’s level. There are timed star levels within the game in which you have to move quickly to collect the stars or they will disappear within a specific time.
Collecting certain number of stars and completing specific actions, will let you unlock various achievements. Here are the Cut the Rope achievements that you can get and the requirements on how to acquire them. Collecting 50 stars will give you the Bronze Scissors achievement. Collecting 150 stars will give Silver Scissors while 300 stars will give Golden Scissors. Become the Rope Cutter by cutting 100 ropes or Rope Cutter Maniac if you cut 800 ropes. Show everyone that you have the fastest fingers by cutting 3 ropes at once for the Quick Finger achievement or cutting 5 ropes at once for the Master Finger achievement. Pop 50 bubbles and be hailed as a Bubble Popper. Outsmart at least 40 spiders and you’ll receive the Spider Buster achievement. Become the Weight Loser if you lose candy for 50 times. You will also get an achievement by completing the 4 boxes. Start feeding Om Nom while collecting stars and avoid obstacles in order to be the best player in the game.
